Miss Scotland beauty pageant looking for entrants

A pageant which focuses not only on physical beauty but also mental beauty and charity fundraising is looking for entrants for their next Miss Scotland.

Successful entrants will earn a place at the Miss GB international Final and the overall winner could see themselves being flown, all expenses paid, to the international final in Chicago.

And for the finals in the US, the lucky winner will also win a wardrobe of clothes for the competition, an Angela May Fairbank designed dress, hair and beauty makeovers and a series of ambassadorial overseas visits to Australia, Lapland and Mongolia with the pageant’s support children’s charity The Joshua Foundation.

This beauty pageant does not just focus on physical beauty but instead showcases physical and mental beauty and crucially the achievements of today’s young women.

Beauty pageants in 2012 have been developed to promote young women and their accomplishments and to help build confidence and self awareness.

Young women find that being part of world renowned pageant is a great opportunity to become positive role models for others, and a chance to open doors for all women around the world.

Once the girls have qualified for the final they are challenged to raise money and awareness for the children’s charity The Joshua Foundation - our charity of the month, which  raises money to give children with terminal cancer once in a lifetime experiences.

Entries are now open NOW for Scotland young women and teenagers - the regional heats are as follows: North-East, North-West, Midlands, South-West, South-East, Scotland and Wales. You must be aged from 13 - 18 years for Miss Teen International Great Britain and must be aged from for 19 - 29 years for Miss Great Britain International. ENTER free
