The Joshua Foundation

Our Charity of the Month is the very special Joshua Foundation which gives children with cancer once in a lifetime experiences.
The foundation was created in 1998 by Sarah Cornelius-Price after she lost her son Joshua to cancer.
Originally formed to organise one event for children to travel to London for an experience Joshua had requested for his fellow cancer sufferers, the charity has now been running for over a decade.
Giving children with cancer a holiday or experience means that they can escape the stresses of living with their illness and to provide some fun memories for them and their families.
The unique point about The Joshua Foundation is that they don't just provide families with one experience throughout their illness - instead they 'adopt' families and provide them with ongoing experiences throughout their treatment.
Running such a fantastic charity means that fundraising is key to being able to carry out these events which range from cinema trips to seaside breaks and holidays to Euro Disney.
The Joshua Foundation has assisted hundreds of children over the last eleven years from 15 Paediatric Oncology Units across the UK, as well as two overseas units in Melbourne and Jerusalem.
